How to Hair rig worms!
- Attach a Quick Stop to the end of a length of 6lb hooklength using a simple overhand knot.
- Leaving a hair of about 15mm, tie on a size 10 hook using a 10-turn knotless knot.
- Tie a size 10 ring swivel to the other end of the hooklength, which should be 20cm long.
How do you attach a boilie to a swivel?

- Thread a length of soft braid/hair braid/floss through the eye of the swivel.
- Put bait on needle.
- Fold the two tag ends over to form a loop for your needle.
- Work the bait down the needle and onto the braid.
- Work the bait over 2/3rds of the swivel leaving the other eye exposed to allow for movement.
Can you put a boilie on a hook?

Can I use a Wafter on a Ronnie rig?
When you tend to use a Wafter on the Ronnie, and because of the added weight from the Micro Swivel and it being so close to the hook, this may cause your Wafter to accidentally turn into a bottom bait. So, by tipping it off with a bit of plastic corn gives it that little extra boost and a flick of added colour.
What rig is best for Wafters?
D-Rig. A stiff rig designed for use with wafters or bottom baits can come in very handy if you find yourself fishing over firm areas like compacted silt or gravel, and a D rig tied with fluorocarbon is the natural choice.
Are tench difficult to catch?
Very often tench can become harder to catch as the summer wears on. I tend to switch to smaller baits, such as maggots, by about June when the tench can be more picky. It is also worth raking the swim lightly before fishing to disturb the natural insects on the bottom.
