Why do I resent my mom so much?
I don’t have anyone else in my life,… Mum never wanted to keep in touch with the extended family and after all I’m in a different country. That’s another thing I find that I resent Mum for, the fact that I have no other person to lean on family wise, she’s cut ties with them all apart from a couple that I don’t have any kind of relationship with.
What kind of person is my elderly mother?
As a mother she has dominated every aspect of her children’s life. She has dominated her childrens’ lives with little concern for anyones’ feeling but her own. She is now in a wonderful assisted living and her dementia (I think) has illuminated her personality into a person who I can no longer bear to be around.
